How much in advance should you plan before your Route 66 trip?

I assume you will not just want to move from point A to point B; there is no planning involved in that. On the contrary, you’ll want to use every day to the fullest. You need to approach in this manner – last minute planning is not worth it. It is ideal to start at least six months before the scheduled departure.
